Classic Tetris World Championship Singapore Qualifier

James Cook University is proud to collaborate with the Classic Tetris World Championship, USA (CTWC) to hold in Singapore’s the first Classic Tetris Singapore Championship.

A tile matching puzzle game which involves intelligence and the agility of the fingers, this championship aims to gather all Tetris enthusiast together and serves as a platform for them to compete. This event is supported by the Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association and the event will be held on the 28 May 2016, 10 am, at James Cook University. This event is open to the public with no registration fee. Tetris enthusiast of all level are welcome to participate. Top prizes to given away include cash, mobile virtual reality headset, movie card and a limited Snoopy stamp collection set all sponsored generously by VostokVR, Charlie Brown Café and other SMEs. 100 goodie bags will be given away to the first 100 participants who register online. The Nintendo NES console, the first video game console made by Nintendo will be used in this competition. Participants are welcome to bring their own original controller if they prefer. The competition will start with a qualifying round. The highest score will be recorded. All participants are require to start at level 9.
