NTUC U Associate

SCOGA signed an MOU with NTUC management and became a partner in the U associate program. The partnership will focus on training development and improving standards in the gaming sector and explore ways to leverage gaming as a platform for learning.

Campus Game Fest

Campus Game Fest is a three day two night internet party that brings various youth culture communities together. Together with the Institute of Technical Education and various government agencies, CGF is held annually during the June school holiday. The event also sees more than 100 ITE student volunteers each year helping out and managing the programmes and different segments of the show.

ASEAN Confederation for eSports

The ACES is an alliance of eSports bodies within the South East Asia region. ACES’s objective is to grow stronger ties among ASEAN member countries through eSports, elevate eSports standards and foster cultural understanding among youths in ASEAN member countries.

ASEAN Games for eSports

The AGES tournament is the marque tournament for ACES. Member countries will gather for youth cultural exchange when they each send their best teams to compete in eSports.

Gamer Assistance Program

SCOGA launched the Gamer Assistance Program (GAP), a fund of S$20,000, to help Singaporean gamers achieve their dreams of competing in the world stage. The fund was partially contributed by partner, Singapore Press Holdings.

Clementi Game Fest 2012

In collaboration with Clementi Community Centre, Clementi Game Fest is a two day gaming event to encourage residents to bond over games.

EVO South East Asia Major 2012 – Singapore Leg

Part of the Clementi Game Fest, SCOGA hosted the EVO SEA Major for the fighting games community. Winners were flown to Las Vegas to represent Singapore on the international stage.

Clementi Game Fest 2011

In collaboration with Clementi Community Centre, Clementi Game Fest is a two day gaming event to encourage residents to bond over games.

Singapore-China Game Box Championships

With the support of the Media Development Authority, SCOGA led a mission together with ten local game developers to Beijing, China where we presented ten game titles to CIBN, a major game publisher in China.

The partnership with CIBN led to a cross-country game tournament where China gamers were invited to Singapore to compete with Singaporeans over locally developed games.

2010


Singapore Game Box

An initiative by Media Development Authority, Singapore, SCOGA was appointed as the officiator of the Singapore Game Box programme. Singapore Game Box showcases games developed by Singaporean game companies.

Singapore Game Box Inter-Tertiary Challenge 2010

SGGB ITC is a campus tournament where students from various Institute of Higher Learning form teams and take part representing their campus. The game titles showcased are games that are developed by Singaporean game companies. The students also took part in focus groups and feedback sessions to help local game developers improve on development.

Singapore Games Festival 2010

Singapore Games Festival is a 72 hour gamer party that celebrates gaming and various youth cultural activities. The event was held in *SCAPE over 3 days and seen more than 17,000 youths from the gaming, cosplay, arcade and comics community. 5 local games were showcased as well under the Singapore Game Box initiative.

Digital Youth Awards 2010

Part of the World Expo, the Digital Youth Awards was represented by SCOGA together with the Singapore Games Festival where gamers from 8 countries were invited to compete over video games. They also enjoyed cultural exchange programmes where local gamers act as tour guides to visit tourist spots islandwide in Singapore.

Game2Read 2010

In collaboration with the National Library Board and Read! Singapore, Game2Read was a campaign to encourage youth to read books associated with their beloved video game titles.

Dreamhack Singapore 2009

SCOGA was the country partner for Dreamhack and appointed Colosseum as the officiator for the local qualifiers.
