FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SINGAPORE – Singapore’s Cybersports and Online Gaming Association is proud to announce that it has been tasked with Selection of e-Athletes for the 18th Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games.
Esports will be a demonstration sport at the 18th Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games 2018 from 18th August 2018 to 1st September 2018. The competition, co-organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) and the Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC), will feature six event titles:
Arena of Valor (Honor of Kings International), Clash Royale, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 and Starcraft II.
Finalists from each event will come together for the games in Jakarta.
The Selection Process for players/teams who will represent Singapore at the Asian Games are as follows:

|1 team will be selected based on recommendation from game publisher Garena.|
|Clash Royale||32 players who sign up will compete in Qualifiers.|
|Hearthstone||Top 4 HC points in Season 1 will be selected for Qualifiers.|
|League of Legends||1 team will be selected based on recommendation from game publisher Garena.|
|Pro Evolution Soccer 2018||1 team will be selected based on recommendation from game developer Konami.|
|Starcraft II||Players who sign up will compete in Qualifiers.|
Qualifiers for Clash Royale, Hearthstone, and Starcraft II will be held at Marina Bay Sands on 31st May 2018.
Participants and schedules of games will be announced shortly.
The Asian Electronic Sports Federation
The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (“AESF”) is the sole competent authority for electronic sports throughout Asia and recognized by Olympic Council of Asia (“OCA”) as such.
Esports was contested at the Fifth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, in September 2017 and will appear as a demonstration event at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, as part of the run-up to the inclusion as an official sport in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
