Singapore GameFEST 2010: Day 1

It’s been a long and tiring past week, we know, but there’s no denying that it was also awesome! Let us recount the action over the four days of SGF2010!
Day 1 of SGF2010 was dedicated to its Opening Ceremony. The event was opened by our VVIPs  Mr Aubeck Kam, CEO of the Media Development Authority of Singapore, Mr. Tetsuhiko Yasuda, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Asia, Mr Daniel Blockert, Deputy Head of Mission, Swedish Embassy, and our own chairman and co-founder of SCOGA, Nicholas Aaron Khoo.

SGF’s remote-controlled blimp which was launched at the Opening Ceremony went on to fly around SGF for the next four days!

After the Opening Ceremony, the polytechnic students in our audience settled down to wait for the next segment of the night – a gameplay introduction by developers to the games of the Singapore GameBox Inter-Tertiary Challenge!

The Opening Ceremony of SGF was also attended by game developers, who were attending a B2B Seminar several floors above the *SCAPE Warehouse. Our guests of honour later went on a walk about the *SCAPE building, and needless to say they were impressed by the volume of activities SGF2010 had in store… Find out about the next day in the next post!
