SINGAPORE – Singapore’s Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) is excited to announce that it would soon be kicking-off the local qualifying leg of the (AGES) 2016 Tournament.
The winners of this qualifier round would earn the coveted ticket as national representatives to the inaugural AGES 2016, winning an all-expense paid trip to the main AGES 2016 event scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur from 18-20 March 2016.
There, they would get a shot to compete for national glory – and an unprecedented regional prize pool of over RM 1,000,000.

The AGES 2016 Singapore Qualifier is organised in partnership with Colosseum, My Republic, *SCAPE and is supported by the National Youth Council.
SCOGA hopes that AGES will not only serve as a platform to nurture and showcase budding eSports talent, but also allow youths to acquire an appreciation of different cultures and forge bonds and camaraderie across borders.
“These are indeed exciting times,” said Mr Kelvin Tan, President of SCOGA. “Building institutional collaboration on such a regional scale in eSports is truly unprecedented.” While this year would be AGES’ inaugural event, as a member of the ASEAN Confederation for eSports (ACES), SCOGA will be looking to table discussions with member nations to grow AGES, with the possibility of presenting it as an annual fixture.
SCOGA recently signed a memorandum of agreement with Esports Malaysia on live broadcast at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Kuala Lumpur on 3 February 2016 to ceremonially unveil the inaugural ASEAN Games for eSports (AGES) 2016.
